Is it a lucky charm? +
No. The Church has always drawn a hard line here, and so do we: a sacramental is not a charm and works no magic. The medal is metal. You wear it to ask St. Michael to pray for you, and every grace comes from God. Anyone selling you more than that is selling you something else.
How long is the chain, and where does it sit? +
The chain is 21 inches — it goes over your head easily and the medal rests at the centre of the chest, over the heart. Long enough to sit under a shirt if you would rather keep it private, short enough not to swing when you move.
Will it turn my skin green? +
No. It is made to be worn against the skin every day without staining it — including in heat and sweat. If yours ever discolours your skin, tell us and we will make it right.
Can I keep it on to shower and sleep? +
Yes, and most people do. It is built to stay on — through work, through the night, in the shower. Nothing about daily wear will harm it. Drying it off now and then simply keeps the detail on St. Michael's face sharp.
Is it too masculine for a woman to wear? +
No. Roughly as many women wear it as men. The design is strong rather than bulky, and at 21 inches it sits the same on either. Most women who order it are praying for someone — a son, a husband, a grandchild — and wear it to keep asking.
Do I need to have it blessed? +
